“There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy and the tired.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Hello Readers,

I have a bunch of book promos for you this week. And a great simple bread recipe if you are like me in that you love homemade bread but don't have the time for some meticulous, all-day long recipe that requires multiple risings and spritzes of water.

Some exciting news for the Something to Hope For prequel, Where It All Started, and the second book in the series, Something to Fight For--as part of a black Friday deal, I paid for the covers for both. I will start the design for both in the new year and work with 100 Covers to get those complete. Hopefully, I will have mockups to show soon.

Who thinks this is a good picture for Benny?

Writing Something to Fight For is still coming along, maybe a little slower than I would like, but I'm hoping to make some real progress once we get beyond the insanity that is the Christmas holiday. (In full disclosure, I love Christmas and bring the insanity onto myself by trying to make all the Christmas cookies, going to all the events, and hosting myself on the big day. It is my own fault.)

In the meantime, please enjoy one or more of the books below by my fellow indie authors.

Here's the Thing: A Professor/Student, Age Gap, Small Town Romance (The Seddledowne Series Book 4)

A Small Town, Professor/Student, Age Gap, Love Story from Amazon best-selling author Susan Henshaw.

Nine years isn't such a big gap... unless you're grading her papers.

Tally's semester checklist:

✓ Finish thesis

✓ Graduate (finally!)

✓ Figure out why my boyfriend of four years suddenly feels like the wrong puzzle piece

✗ Do not fall for Professor Dupree

I wish I could say the man I want more than my next breath is my boyfriend.

But I can’t.

Because I’m too busy having messy, intense feelings for my best friend’s uncle, who also happens to be my professor…and is much older than me.

But even if we could overcome all that, we can still never be together.

Not when my dark secrets could destroy us both…

Professor Dupree’s Professional Checklist:

✓ Grade midterms

✗ Stop noticing how beautiful your student is

✗ Maintain professional distance

✗ Do NOT become her best friend

✓ If all else fails, resign as thesis advisor

Good men don’t fall for students.

But apparently, I’m not the golden boy our small town thinks I am, because that’s exactly what I did.

I planned to wait until after her graduation to tell Tally how I felt.

Then she told me I was her person and everything changed.

Now, I have to figure out how to turn forbidden romance into a happily ever after. Because letting Tally go?

That’s not an option. Not anymore…

Here’s the Thing, book 4 in The Seddledowne series of interconnected standalones, is an angsty, emotional, sometimes hilarious contemporary romance with plenty of page-turning suspense. Download today and get ready for a love that’s worth the wait.

Crossroads Diner Menu

No Fail Amish White Bread

From Restless Chipotle, this No Fail Amish White Bread recipe, created by Marye, is wonderful. I have made it a few times and it is as advertised, a simple recipe for a great tasting bread. Hot out of the oven, it is a great compliment to almost any dinner. And you do not need to be a professional baker to make it. I highly recommend trying it out.

Restless Chipotle is part of Restless Chipotle Media, LLC located just south of Dallas, Texas.
